The Position:
Grants & Projects Analysts develop and implement and/or assess, monitor, control and review grant-in-aid projects/programs administered by State agencies, and provide assistance to recipients in evaluating program effectiveness.
Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform work independently with little or no additional training.
This position is responsible for monitoring the Office of Violence Against Women website for availability of discretionary funds, review solicitation for determination of eligibility relating to current interests/goals of the office. This position will review and audit monthly reimbursement requests received from the STOP formula grant program sub-guarantees. Position will also be responsible for the review of Budget Status Reports and reconcile job number reports to ensure any charges to each grant category have been appropriately allocated. Incumbent will be responsible for providing programmatic and financial technical assistance to sub-guarantees of the STOP formula grant viz telephone, formal training, and site visits.

To Qualify: Education and Experience
1) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field and one year of professional experience in the assessment, coordination, revision, and analysis of program functions; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and three years of professional experience in the research, development, coordination, revision, and evaluation of programs; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements:
1) A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility is required at the time of appointment and as a condition of continuing employment.
2) A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
Additional Position Experience:
1) Experience in grants and program management with primary responsibilities for administration, assessment and coordination of grant activities.
2) Experience monitoring grant budgets.
3) Experience with guidelines of the Violence Against Woman Act and the American Recovery Act.
4) Experience interacting with law enforcement and service providers who respond to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
