Security Guard – Part Time
Saturdays and Sundays, Graveyard Shift, and On Call Graveyard Shift
Security Guards are relied upon to ensure a safe, secure community for our residents and staff. They are vigilant to fire, safety, and criminal threats in the interest of residents and employees They patrol the community, inspect the premises, assess the security of the community, and are the first responder to fire alarm or other security devices in case of an emergency. The Security Guard also serves as the On-Call Concierge for the Graveyard, Monday – Friday shift. Concierge duties include directing all residents and guests of the community, answering all resident questions, and operating and managing the switchboard, radios, and computer.
The successful candidate will possess the following skills:
- Excellent communication skills, energetic, friendly and organized
- Knowledge of safety rules and procedures as dictated by company, local and state safety law
- Able to deal with stress and act responsibly in an emergency situation
- Computer proficiency in MS Word and MS Outlook
- Must enjoy working with seniors and possess a keen sensitivity to their needs
- Training in CPR and first aid is a plus
The person selected for this position must
work weekends on a graveyard shift
be in good physical condition and be able to stand for long periods of time
have excellent oral communication skills including a clear speaking voice.
possess the ability to deal with stress and act responsibly with good judgment in an emergency situation.
use a client and customer focused approach to problem solving and goal setting
have excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
