Types of Internships that may be available:

  • IT Operations

Supply Chain:

The Supply Chain function manages the operational relationship between Microsoft and assigned worldwide Authorized Replicators, Authorized Duplicators, fulfillment centers and/or account territories, and includes vendor management, inventory management, business process, cost containment, compliance and controls; and will contribute to worldwide leading strategies and execution to ensure a proficient supply chain to support the customer base.

Qualifications: 

  • Working on a Bachelor or Master degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance of Statistics· 1+ years of demonstrated work experience in an operations environment involving account management or customer service 
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Proficiency in Windows & Microsoft Office Suite
IT Operations:
 
An intern for IT Operations may support the business with systems, data and inquiry support expertise by creating and running reports to measure team performance, answering customer inquiries, using exception reports and provisioning systems to research orders and push them through the process, testing lines of business applications, using sql, and accessing SAP.

Qualifications:
  • Working on a Bachelor or Master degree in a technology related area such as Information Systems or Computer Science 
  • Proficiency in Windows & Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of SQL 
  • SAP experience is a plus
Program Management::
Program Manager’s are visible contributors, accountable for owning and managing a set of customers, systems, processes, projects and/or programs, including project deliverables and providing team leadership in their respective SME role(s).
Demonstrated excellence in driving customer satisfaction is expected in this role, and you must establish & drive cross-group collaboration across all Operations organizations.

Qualifications:

  • Working on a Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, or IT 
  • 1+ years of demonstrated work experience in Operations, Finance, Accounting, Account Management or Customer Service 
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Proficiency in Windows & Microsoft Office Suite
Channel Management:
 
An intern for Channel Management will be accountable for a series of data analysis projects. The result of the analysis will be business intelligence that identifies Operations improvement areas. This role will work with designated Channel Management team members to encourage Functional team focus on identified improvement areas.

Qualifications:
  • Working on a Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Finance or Statistics
  • 1+ years of demonstrated experience with data analysis and trending 
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft Products, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Account Management:
 
An Account Management Intern interfaces with Microsoft's Enterprise Licensing Executives and Licensing Specialists across the United States in order to address complex licensing sales issues, communicate program changes, and work to minimize sales/Operations related issues. The portfolio extends across verticals and other business groups. 
  • Working on a Bachelor or Master degree in Business, Finance or Statistics 
  • 1+ years of demonstrated work experience in Account Management or Customer Service 
  • Demonstrated project management experience 
  • Proficiency in Windows & Microsoft Office Suite
