The Contract and Revenue Management team’s (CRMT) objective is to ensure world-class agreement and revenue recognition program management. We strive to continually improve upon existing programs and to design and implement new operational programs: all while maintaining excellent customer and partner experiences. We are a global organization directly driving Microsoft’s OEM Operations in the Americas and Asia, and partnering closely on our European Operations. Job Description:
The CRMT Channel Incentives Systems Program Manager is accountable for ensuring operational excellence by setting robust systems requirements that meet the needs of Operations, Marketing, Policy and Finance. You will work closely with Microsoft IT to deploy systems solutions that solve critical business problems for Operations, Marketing, Policy and our OEM customers. You will champion OEM Operations systems requirements for Channel Incentives across all Microsoft Lines of Business. Demonstrated excellence in driving customer satisfaction is expected. You must proactively drive cross-group collaboration across all Operations organizations as well as work closely with Marketing, Legal, Sales, Tax, Policy, Finance and other Operating Centers. You will be accountable for ensuring that program design meets Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory guidelines as well as Microsoft’s internal standards and controls.
Desired competencies and characteristics: strong leadership skills, ability to motivate people to achieve objectives, ability to resolve cross-group problems and conflicts, excellent presentation and communication skills, strong strategy skills, strong metrics background, strong financial knowledge, excellent interpersonal skills, strong ability to understand complex systems and interfaces, intermediate interviewing skills.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- 6+ years related experience in Operations, including:
o Global program development and program management
o Experience with ERP implementation or implementation of a major ERP
enhancement
o Process improvement
- Excellent presentation and communications skills
- Proven ability to come up with creative solutions to complex problems by applying industry and customer knowledge coupled with sound judgment
- Bachelor’s degree in Business-related field (Operations, Accounting, Finance, Logistics, or IT)
Preferences:
- Master’s degree or CPA strongly preferred
- Experience in a strong SOX environment, especially with design of new programs that conform with SOX requirements
- Industry experience in enterprise systems implementation and design
- Exposure to, or certification in, six-sigma, lean, or other process improvement methodologies
- Exposure to, or certification in, project management and resource forecasting
