Group Purpose:
Microsoft Services helps customers realize their full potential through accelerated adoption and productive use of Microsoft technologies. Services aims to deliver world class services with partners, earning customer confidence, trust, and loyalty by improving the overall Customer and Partner Experience, serving as the customer advocates within Microsoft and driving customer-centric product improvement. This group will also manage the program and transactional aspects of North America’s commercial contractual Services programs. This includes process execution, transactional processing of agreements, amendments, orders and day to day inquiry support for existing, new or modified programs.
The MCS Program Manager will play a critical role in leading organizational operations, program and project initiation, tracking and communication.
Job Purpose:
The Program Management position will represent the US, Canada, and Latin America business operations (AOC) as a cross functional leader at a regional and worldwide level. This position identifies and leads continuous process improvement activities and projects, end-to-end business process change, system change requirements and solutions. The Program Manager will also hold a significant level of responsibility and management of our business partner performance and activities. The Program Manager directs and coordinates the work of team members assigned to the cross functional teams to ensure program performance, including compliance, fulfillment, cost management, budget development and analysis, financial estimating and forecasting, and vendor management. The program management position works effectively across functions, including; Client Engagement, LCA/SBD, Field Management and Sales/Delivery personnel, and Vendor Management.
The Program Management responsibilities include;
(Run)
- Ensure program operations run within specifications end to end
- Addresses run deficiency issues with colleagues and internal business partners, including Field Ops, Business Execution, Systems and Tools, Ops Managers and Specialists and other groups
- Own and drive performance of operational metrics within assigned program space
- Owns and manages escalations and documentation within assigned program space
- Effectively manage new Program or System changes and launches
- Owns outsourced vendor relationship and overall performance across MCS Program
- Budget, Quality and Capacity Planning accountability
- Change Management, Controls and Compliance testing
- Business review presentations as needed to management and senior management
(Build)
- Acts on behalf of the Americas Operations Center on the world-wide stage to:
o Represent & drive AOC customer, partner and shareholder requirements and
concerns on WW build activities.
o Provides operational and subject matter expertise at the WW level within the
assigned program spaces, and across programs to influence and impact
business decisions to optimize client, partner, and shareholder value.
o Deliver a common process, tool suite and a subsidiary/partner engagement
model that optimizes the programs objectives
- Provides guidance to a variety of team members and clients based on program direction, operational goals, and compliance related issues
- Drives team to meet critical schedules, resolve critical and / or complex operational issues and technical problems
- Frequently engages with upstream clients, regional peers, and ROC leadership re: program releases and initiatives, operations / business decision, program activities, performance issues, and general program opportunities
- Lead or act as a key stakeholder representative in various ongoing project activities
- Develops and aligns regional execution strategies tied to longer term outsourcing strategies and objectives
(Optimize)
- Drive for continuous process improvement. Ongoing analysis and identification of improvement opportunities within the process and program space end to end
- Consistently leverage various data, trending and reporting tools to support decision making process
Requirements: ·
- BA / BS or equivalent
- 6+ years program or project management experience in a similar role
- 6+ years of experience with systems, tools, or IT infrastructure management
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams
- Proven ability to make data driven decisions
- Exceptional operational analysis and cross group collaboration skills
- Prefer PMI or Six Sigma certification
