The primary objectives of this position are to act as an expert educational liaison on behalf of Resource Action Programs and to evaluate, revise, reformat, and develop new educational curriculum materials as related to national water and energy efficiency. The target audience ranges from kindergarten students to adult consumers. Responsibilities include:
- Focus on curriculum development and act as expert educational liaison on behalf of Resource Action Programs
- Act as expert in educational field and be able to provide information to management team
- Partner with the management team on the development of new cost effective programs
- Act as liaison with state Offices of Education, county Offices of Education, individual School Districts, and regional Environmental Education Groups
- Plan and maintain all curriculum-related budgets
- Disseminate information to staff on capabilities of current and new educational programs and how they relate to each staff member’s responsibilities
- Evaluate, revise, and reformat current curriculum for national water and energy efficiency programs
- Create and write supplementary curriculum for national water and energy efficiency programs as needed
- Develop new curriculum for national water and energy efficiency programs
- Correlate curriculum with State Education Standards and Benchmarks for various states as needed
- Update curriculum to incorporate new State Education Standards and Benchmarks as needed
- Evaluate success of curriculum through: classroom visitations, classroom surveys, and by leading regional teacher advisory committees
- Edit curriculum content for grammar/spelling
- Edit curriculum content for layout/formatting
- Edit curriculum content for sense and style (i.e. meaning)
- Research curriculum content facts for accuracy
- Be able to cite accurate facts within curriculum content when writing new and supplementary materials
- Research sources in current curriculum for reliability
- Be capable of meeting tight deadlines while maintaining quality of work and materials
- Various other related responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Ø Excellent curriculum content development and writing skills
Ø Familiarity with State Education Standards and Benchmarks
Ø Familiarity with SADIE strategies
Ø Familiarity with State Testing
Ø Familiarity with current educational curriculum used in K-12 classrooms and the myriad of supplementary materials that accompany well respected publishers materials
Ø Experience in creating and managing large scale projects
Ø Capable of managing multiple projects
Ø Self-directed and the ability to work independently and manage communications up and down
Ø Highly skilled in personal time management
Ø Must have excellent leadership, team management, and relationship building skills

Experience:
· Bachelors Degree from four year accredited university
· Masters Degree in educational field
· Minimum of three years successful K-12 teaching experience
· Lifetime Credential or Clear Multiple Subject Credential or Clear Single Subject Credential
· CLAD certification or SB2042 Teaching Credential
· Administrative Credential preferred
· Experience as Principal, Vice Principal, or other administrative leader preferred
