Microsoft OEM Operations is responsible for the provision of high quality global operational support to the three dynamic OEM Business channels, Royalty, SBC & OED to secure ~$20Bln in annual revenue for Microsoft. Core OEM Operations responsibilities include all processes from Agreement to Cash Process Management, Channel Management, Supply Chain Management and Strategic Program Management. OEM Operations helps internal partners and customers around the world get a maximized return on their engagement with Microsoft. As Senior Supply Chain Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of key project deliverables within the deployment of the “Digital Marker” capability in the OEM Business. You must be customer and client centric, able to prosper in a dynamic and diverse international organization, and capable of working independently and across a number of interdependent teams. You must be driven and highly energetic with a strong desire for delivering results.
To be effective in this position, one needs to build a deep understanding of the overall OEM business model, and have experience as a participant in a large scale, complex Global Programs. Given the rapid development of digital distribution technology it would be advantageous if the candidate has prior experience of digital distribution operating models and the ability to determine trends and identify opportunities for further developing the business model. Specifically, this role will be a key player on the Supply Chain team responsible for successfully deploying Digital Distribution capability in the OEM Business.
This person will be a member of a virtual Supply Chain team distributed across the globe and will have the unique opportunity to be part of the OEM Digital Marker Deployment Ops team. This is a challenging and fast moving role and is ideally suited to someone who is able to prioritize and focus on the important tasks, seeing each task through to the end. Be a contributor in the Deployment of Digital Marker Supply Chain capability in OEM Operations working closely with the Customers, Subject Matter Experts and key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Strong digital operations and planning skills, distribution experience, and familiarity with Six Sigma process methodologies preferred
- Demonstrated leadership within Supply Chain/ Operations role.
- Strong capacity for leading change, dealing with ambiguity and providing creative solutions.
- The position requires an individual who understands how to get things done in a large, complex organization through influence and collaboration, and has broad business background or diverse product experience.
- It also requires the ability to understand how to improve the way things get done through effective planning and process improvements.
- Proven ability to work in a multicultural business environment
- Demonstrated collaboration skills to enable close interaction with partner operations teams and sales organizations, supported by clear evidence of strategic and business leadership and the ability to incrementally improve the digital business model to drive business value
- Strong ability to present new concepts to a wide audience, communicate clearly and concisely across all communication settings, and to evangelize to senior ops, management, and executive staff
- 10 + years related experience in Supply Chain or Operations, including:
o Global program development and program management
o Process improvement Creating RFP, SOW & Agreement documents
o Strong working knowledge of contract terms, conditions, mechanisms,
and procedures.
o Excellent presentation and communications skills
o Proven ability to come up with creative solutions to complex problems by
applying industry and customer knowledge coupled with sound judgment
o Bachelor’s degree in Business-related field (Operations, Supply chain,
Logistics, or IT) desired
o Languages: Fluency in Spanish & English is preferred
o Flexibility to travel as required
Preferences:
- Industry experience in large-scale supply chain deployment programs
- Strong Program Management capabilities
- Has strong ERP experience and understanding, in particular SAP
- Worked for or partnership with a large OEM/ODM
- Master’s degree preferred
- Experience in a strong SOX environment, especially with design of new programs that conform with SOX requirements
- Exposure to, or certification in, six-sigma, lean, or other process improvement methodologies
